IGT wins two 2017 Global Gaming Awards

IGT's SPHINX 4D game was named 'Land-Based Gaming Innovation of the Year' and the company's Cardless Connect mobile technology was named 'Land-Based Product of the Year.' The Global Gaming Awards is a leading, global awards program that is held annually in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Global Gaming Expo (G2E).

"Winning two categories at the Global Gaming Awards further validates IGT's leadership in developing meaningful innovation that positions the Company and its casino customers for future opportunities," said Renato Ascoli, IGT CEO North America Gaming & Interactive.

"The SPHINX 4D game delivers an unprecedented gameplay experience, combining 4D, gesture-based and mid-air haptic technologies, while Cardless Connect is the ideal example of an IGT mobile innovation that is enhancing the land-based casino environment for operators and players alike," Ascoli added.

IGT's SPHINX 4D game, combining mid-air haptic and gesture-based technology with inspiring 3D graphics is poised to reach casinos before the end of this year. The company's Cardless Connect enables players to perform a series of action such as carding in and out of a slot machine, and starting a patron loyalty session with their mobile device.

Both IGT's SPHINX 4D game and Cardless Connect solution were on display in the company's G2E booth 3659 this week.
