Martin Himmelbauer, spokesman for Casinos Austria International, confirmed that the group is looking for buyers.
"Following the successful rehabilitation of CAI, we have had inquiries for cooperation up to the acquisition of shares. We are now investigating with potential prospects what possibilities arise,” said Himmelbauer.
CAI has a total of 32 casinos, six of which are on cruise ships as well as video lottery terminals (VLTs) in Macedonia. For the first time since 2009, 2016 saw CAI making a profit, having withdrawn from several loss-making markets under the leadership of CEO Karl Stoss.
