The federal government included the Exclusive Instant Lottery (Lotex) in the National Privatization Program (PND). The National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) is "responsible for carrying out all the acts necessary to achieve the privatization of Lotex's public service".
According to the decree, it will be the responsibility of the development bank "to hire an institution responsible for conducting an auction", "the convocation of a public hearing", "publication of a public consultation", and to appoint the bid committee, of the minutes and publish the tender notice.
The BNDES must also "provide
information regarding the privatization process, including to meet requests
from the Council of the Program of Investment Partnerships of the Presidency of
the Republic and other competent bodies" and "prepare the
documentation of the privatization process, for consideration by the Court of
the Union Accounts (TCU)."
The Ministry of Finance, in turn, will be "responsible for coordinating
and monitoring the procedures and stages of the privatization process".
