The emergence of sporting franchises in Las Vegas

Addressing the audience at Betting on Sports 2017, VP Business Development at Don Best Sports, Meir Moses, claimed that “from an integrity perspective, there are no real concerns” over the formation of sporting franchises in Las vegas.

Meir Moses, VP Business Development at Don Best Sports, algo commented: "It is indicative that the leagues are feeling comfortable with these franchises coming into sin city, and from an integrity perspective, there are no real concerns.”

Moses added that "assuming the legislation does move forward” then "the real challenge is the league's want to see how they’re going to get a piece of the pie.”

Given that Moses described ice hockey as a "softer proposition” it’s unsurprising that having been formed in 2017, National Hockey League side, The Golden Knights were the first major league professional team to play in Vegas.

Moving forward, despite much controversy from Raiders’ fans, later in the season National Football League franchise, The Oakland Raiders will become The Las Vegas Raiders after NFL owners voted 31–1 to approve the plans.

The Raiders will continue to play home games in Oakland until the 2020 season, when the new 65,000 seater stadium Las Vegas stadium opens.
