“With deepest sorrow, the Kokkalis family announces the sudden death of Sokratis S. Kokkalis, aged 34, during a business trip to Cleveland in the United States on Saturday, 14 July 2018,” the announcement said.
The 34-year-old was found dead in his hotel room and reports claim he suffered from a heart attack.
Sokratis Jr was born in Milan in 1984 and studied in Boston. He was one of the vice presidents of Greek football club Olympiacos and was on the board of directors of Intralot. His father, Sokratis Sr, is a Greek billionaire owner and chairman of Intralot and the Owner of Intracom Holdings.
"It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the death of my friend and vice president of Intralot Internacional, Sokratis Kokkalis, an irreparable loss for all of us at Intralot Brasil. My condolences to the Kokkalis family," Sérgio Alvarenga, Chairman of the Board of Intralot Brasil.
