According to local media reports, those casinos are one on Phu Quoc Island, and the other at Van Don Special Economic Zone near the Chinese border.
The Prime Minister’s announcement was reportedly made
during a recent meeting with local authorities in Quang Ninh province.
The announcement was met with opposition from the operators of Ho Tram, who has
been excluded from receiving locals, according to a local source in the
industry.
The Prime Minister in his announcement also confirmed the government is still working on the draft gaming decree.
