The Chief Minister of the Government Department, Carlos Marun, stated that the government could revise Provisional Measure 841 that directed part of the lottery collection to the newly created National Public Security Fund (FNSP). The MP generated a strong reaction from the ministers of Culture, Sérgio Sá Leitão and Esporte, Leandro Cruz, who criticized the cuts in their briefs.
According to Marun, "due to the questioning and greater awareness of the consequences of that measure was uncomfortable with the cuts made, the reduction of resources for Sport and Culture," President Michel Temer ruled that "the subject be studied in more detailed, which is already happening, and it is quite likely that this will be reassessed. "
In reiterating that "it is possible," that a new MP or other type of measure be adopted to return the resources that were directed to safety, to the Sport and Culture areas, Minister Marun was not able to say how much the they would receive.
"We know that security needs to have sources of funding, but in this case, the government is re-evaluating this issue so that all sectors are met and we will reach points of convergence that allow the performance of all activities, all important," observed the minister. He could not say, however, where the resources will go to attend to the security portfolio and said that this is being evaluated by the government.
Marun met on Thursday (12) with the ministers of Culture and Sports, who complained about the cuts, to reach a common point regarding resources. The forecast is that only then will they meet with Temer to finally define the text that will deal with the return of the resources to Sport and Culture. "We are closing a position with the economic area," he said. "I have scheduled a meeting with the ministers of the areas to present a solution that addresses the needs of all sectors," Marun said.
