The number of visitors from the Republic of Korea however, dropped by 13.4 percent, along with visitors from Australia and Canada, according to the data.
The numbers brought Macau visitor arrivals for the first half of the year up 8 percent year-on-year.
Earlier this month, Macau’s international airport said it saw an increase of 20 percent in passenger arrivals in the first half of the year.
According to the operator of the international airport, the increase was mainly due to more visitors from mainland China.
