Neymar had a great debut in the São Paulo stage of the Brazilian Series of Poker, held at a hotel in the South Zone of São Paulo. The player, who is trained by André Akkari, one of the country's top poker players, qualified for the final table and was placed sixth in the tournament.
With the result, Neymar pocketed US$21,400. The maximum amount of prize money reaches US$91,700 and was initially disputed by more than 200 players.
"I'm very happy to be participating for the first time and already get a final table with great players. For me, it's a new experience," commented Neymar in an interview with Super Poker after his participation in the tournament.
In spite of the debut of the Brazilian football player in the Brazilian Series of Poker, he usually publishes in his social networks some games in which participate other illustrious people, like Gabriel Jesus and Moisés, player of Palmeiras football club.
"I'm glad to be not only a poker player but also a lover of this actitivy, I like it more and more. I follow many players from here," added the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
