Georges Didier commented that GLI, as an independent laboratory for testing and certification of products of the gaming industry, has a department dedicated exclusively to serving the Lotteries sector with highly qualified personnel to carry out a work that helps both the regulator and the supplier/maker.
Among the advantages of a certification and audit of processes, Didier listed:
• Reliable product by the player
• The possibility of entering several markets
• Differentiate from illegal or uncertified/audited gaming
• It allows to monitor the operation, control and improve it
• The regulator can monitor and supervise the operation
• The regulator has standardized and certified/audited products/services
Then, the representative of Government Relations and Business Development Latin America of GLI detailed the issues for which the Lottery market should be concerned at present:
• How do we protect our websites? They are vulnerable to attacks
• Do we use RBGs/random raffler?
• Possible internal and external agents not committed to the organization
• Is the environment safe?
• Our systems / softwares free of bugs
• Permanent appearance of computer viruses
• Is our information or communication transmission secure?
In addition to Didier, the "Security Panel" included the presence and dissertations of Néstor Ocampo (Operations Manager - Boldt), Anton Stiglic (Senior Corporate Director of IT Governance, Gaming Compliance and Information Security -CISO- of Loto-Québec), Fernando Barrigana (Jogos Santa Casa) and Rodrigo Hideki (CAIXA).
