APEX to use ITL’s coin handling in AWPs throughout Germany

Innovative Technology Ltd (ITL) announced that APEX will use their state-of-the-art SMART Coin System in their next generation AWPs. “We have been working well with APEX for a long time and we know this offering will be a real success for the AWP Market in Germany,” commented Christian Czeskleba, Senior Business Development Manager in ITL the country.

APEX Germany was created to form a key partner for the German slot machine industry and is part of the APEX group of companies, an international manufacturer and operator of gaming solutions based in Austria.

Commenting on this arrangement, Christian Czeskleba, Senior Business Development Manager in ITL Germany said: “We are delighted that APEX have decided to supply our SMART Coin System in their machines. The unit validates, discriminates and stores mixed coins, eliminating coin starvation and the need for multiple hoppers. It checks and records each individual coin for accounting purposes when it is deposited, paid out, refilled and cashed. The exact coin levels are always known, and the best payment method can therefore be guaranteed, all with mixed coins and at very high speed.”

“We have been working well with APEX for a long time and their idea to use our state-of-the-art coin validators in their AWP's brought us closer together at the beginning of this project. Based on a similar relationship we have with one of the major Spanish OEM’s - where the SMART Coin System is used on a large scale and is already well-established - we know this offering will be a real success for the AWP Market in Germany.”

Gerhard Hubmann, Managing Director of APEX Germany commented: “This offering will give customers flexibility in all three Pinnacle enclosure types - slant top, floor-standing and wall-mounted. The use of ITL’s SMART Coin System in our machines is unique as no other manufacturer is currently able to install such a device in Germany.

“We have worked closely together, overcoming challenges along the way, and the installers are now curious to see what results can be achieved.  Our staff are fully trained and ready to bring the system to market with our next generation AWP's.  We look forward to presenting this exciting offer at various industry events over the coming months,” Hubmann added.
