G2E Las Vegas gathers the international gaming sector in the return to face-to-face events

The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is back in business, with members of the international gaming industry already in Las Vegas attending educational experiences since yesterday (4) and with the traditional exposition of the latest technology and innovative content until Thursday (7). Usually, the event receives around 27,000 visitors at the Venetian Expo, but the number is expected to be significantly lower due to the continued threat of COVID-19 and issues with international travel.

At G2E Las Vegas, exhibitors, visitors and operators can find meaningful connections, cutting-edge technology and experience innovative content at the Venetian Expo. Besides, this year the event will have the added value of bringing people together after more than a year of pandemic.

The American Gaming Association (AGA) is the operator of the expo, and it stated that this year the focus will be on quality instead of quantity. “Measuring the success of this G2E based on numbers would not be important. What I’ve been encouraged by is that the exhibitors have been excited. It’s been two years since they’ve been able to show off in a live manner new technologies, new platforms and new entertainment,” commented AGA’s President and CEO Bill Miller to Las Vegas Review Journal.

Usually, the expo sees around 27,000 individuals taking part. The number this year will be significantly lower due to the continued threat of COVID-19 and issues with international travel. Also due to the pandemic, this year’s G2E will definitely be different from last year as the event had to go virtual and offered a small online event.

The expo features keynote speakers, individuals within the industry that will discuss important topics that play a role today. Such topics as industry growth, digital payments, sports betting, and payment modernization will be reviewed.

Taking place today (5), AGA President and CEO Bill Miller will provide the state of the industry address. A panel discussing the recovery of the industry from the pandemic also takes place featuring Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and Representative Dina Titus.

While visitors attend the expo to hear from industry insiders, they also want to see the latest developments of games and devices from developers and top-rated companies.
