Santos Rodrigues stressed that the gaming sector generates jobs and moves the economy. Cruzeiro’s president, who is a lawyer, asked only that the inspection mechanisms accompany the process to guarantee the safety of all players.
"I personally cannot speak on behalf of the institution, I am in favor of it. I think it is a global trend. I don't see why to go against it. I even see projects in Brazil not only for bookmakers, but legalization of the whole gaming sector. I have always been in favor of it. I think it just needs to be monitored. But it generates employment, income, taxes and I am in favor of everything that makes it possible for this to be done," declared Sérgio Santos Rodrigues.
Importance of football for bookmakers activation
Galera.bet also has agreements with Corinthians and Sport. Ricardo Rosada, vice president of marketing and communication of the bookmaker, highlighted that the Brazilian's passion for football is one of the main reasons for more and more companies in the sector to link their brands to clubs.

In Serie A of the Brazilian Championship, 19 of the 20 clubs have sponsorship agreements with bookmakers, being one of the most important sources of current revenue for the associations. For Rosada, a clear regulation on the sector is more than necessary and would be a transforming point for the sector.
"Part of our operation takes place abroad, with a very high level of compliance. As soon as the law is enacted in Brazil, the bookmaker market can increase here by up to five times," projected the vice president.
