The Oscar of electronic sports

Brazilian Nobru is named Personality of the Year at the Esports Awards

The Esports Awards, known as the Oscar of electronic sports, recognized the best of 2021 last Saturday night in Texas, United States. Of the 34 categories, Brazil was present in 12 nominations, but Bruno 'Nobru', CEO and player of Fluxo at Free Fire, was the only one who became a winner. The 20-year-old Brazilian was elected Personality of the Year, in a popular vote, beating Gabriel 'FalleN' and Gustavo 'Baiano'.

The Esports Awards trophy is another individual award that Bruno “Nobru” Goes will be able to proudly display on his shelves. The Brazilian Free Fire star was named "Personality of the Year" in what is considered the "Oscar" of electronic sports, last Saturday (20) in Arlington, United States, where Brazilians were present in 12 nominations in 34 categories. In the same dispute, there were also Baiano and Fallen.

Nobru is one of the best known names in the Brazilian sports scene. World champion of Free Fire with Corinthians in 2019, he decided to create his organization, Fluxo, which ended up becoming one of the largest in the country in a short time. He is also responsible for creating the Copa Nobru, the biggest FF emulator tournament in Brazil.

In his acknowledgment video, Nobru stated that he “did not even have words” and said that he will be present again at the event next year, promising to maintain the “high level of competitiveness”. The player also thanked his family and fans.

The co-founder of Fluxo competed in the category with other great names in world esports, such as Brazilians Gustavo “Baiano” Gomes and Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. In addition to Nobru, who was also awarded at the event was Free Fire itself, winning in the category of “Mobile Game of the Year”, beating important titles such as PUBG Mobile, Wild Rift, Clash Royale and others.
