“Deputy Felipe Carreras and I received the Rei do Pitaco staff to talk about the regulation of Fantasy Sports, where the result does not depend exclusively on luck, but on the player's skills and strategies. We are listening to all segments of society before presenting, for analysis by the Chamber's Plenary, the text that allows for the legalization of gaming in Brazil,” explained Deputy Newton Cardoso Jr.
The fantasy sport segment alone generated more than US$8 billion in the US last year. “Despite being a competition that is already well-known by football lovers in the country, from a regulatory point of view, we have a lot to evolve, even to give more security to the thousands of practitioners of the sport,” defends Rafael Marchetti Marcondes, Head of Cool start up Rei do Pitaco.
The working group destined to produce the new version of the “Regulatory Framework for Gaming in Brazil” was created by the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira, interested in the general release of gambling in the country.
In the preliminary report by Congressman Felipe Carreras, the so-called integrated casinos were also included in the legalization package, which will operate in luxury resorts, bingo halls, jogo do bicho and slot machines.
One of the novelties included in the text is that electronic machines can be exploited not only inside casinos and bingo halls, but also in jockey clubs, where today there are only bets on horse races.
