BIS 2021 / LEONARDO BAPTISTA AND FABRÍCIO MURAKAMI – PAY4FUN

Gaming operators need to keep in mind that tropicalization is critical to success

In order to talk about the paths to the success of an operation in Brazil, BiS featured a lecture by Leonardo Baptista and Fabrício Murakami, CEO and CMO of Pay4Fun, respectively. 'The operator needs to know Brazil and the Brazilian people. Without that, he won't achieve success,' the company's CMO commented. Baptista added that “the gateway for operators is the method of payment. Brazil is very specific in this regard.”

Pay4Fun executives coincided in the matter of knowing the client well for a successful operation in Brazil. “The Brazilian market is gigantic and any operator needs to tropicalize its business and get closer to the customer. In addition, they should look for local partners, who know the specifics of the client and the country,” commented Leonardo Baptista.

Fabrício Murakami also recalled that market strategies, as well as tax and legal issues, are other decisive factors for success. "For this reason, I reinforce what Leonardo said, that the local partner is a great tool for the major players in the world market to achieve their goals in the country."

Customer service is another point highlighted by Pay4Fun executives for the success of an operation. “Nobody wants to be assisted, for example, by attendants in the Portuguese language from Portugal. We are in Brazil and we need to offer service in our language. The customer also cannot have to type 1, 2, 3 or any other digit. He wants to be assisted personally and an operator has to understand that,” exemplified Leonardo.

The growth of the online market has to do with the pandemic, which made the population look for alternatives for their leisure. For this reason, in Leonardo's assessment, many operators arrived "and this is proven even by the growth of Pay4Fun in the last two years."

At the end of the brief presentation on intelligence to be successful in business, the CEO of Pay4Fun stated that “the best in Brazil is the Brazilian”, so that operators can look to them when establishing themselves in the country.
