Hero Gaming chosen as ‘Employer of the Year’ at SBC Award

Hero Gaming had expressed its pride in having been chosen as the ‘Employer of the Year’ at one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the industry; the SBC Awards that recently took place at Evolution London in the U.K. “We are humbled and extremely grateful to have won this award. I’d like to thank our very own employees who have each contributed to making Hero Gaming a great place to work,” commented firm’s Chief People Officer Marie Theobald.

Now in its eighth year, the SBC Awards ceremony recognizes and rewards the very best in sports betting and gaming. This annual event also celebrates the companies surviving and thriving through these unprecedented times.

This year, the SBC Awards featured 43 award categories, and awarded 62 different winners after a record number of nominations.

The ‘Employer of the Year’ awardshas been created to recognize the company that has demonstrated exceptional work during this time of crisis in keeping its people safe and well, being able to adapt to new realities and create a pathway through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unfortunately, due to the current global situation, Hero Gaming could not be physically present at the awards ceremony. Marie Theobald, Chief People Officer at Hero, accepted the award virtually and expressed her gratitude on behalf of the company:

We are humbled and extremely grateful to have won the Employer of the Year award. I’d like to thank the HR team who work relentlessly in offering the best experience to our people, the C-level team who have been key in driving our culture forward and most importantly our very own employees who have each contributed to making Hero Gaming a great place to work.”

All of us at Hero Gaming would like to extend our congratulations to all the finalists and winners of the 2021 SBC Awards; with their hard work and accomplishments, we can keep on strengthening this extraordinary industry together,” she concluded.
