The lawyer will work in government relations sector

Brazilian fantasy game Rei do Pitaco adds Bárbara Teles to its legal area

Bárbara Teles, General Secretary of the OAB/DF Games Commission, has just been hired as a lawyer by Rei do Pitaco, an application based on fantasy games in which players assemble real teams for game disputes, being rewarded according to the performance of their lineups. Teles will work in the legal area with a focus on regulatory issues and government relations.

Attorney Bárbara Teles, General Secretary of the OAB/DF Gaming Law Commission, has just been hired by Rei do Pitaco to work in the legal area with a focus on regulatory issues and government relations. Barbara was recognized by the Leaders League ranking in Government Relations (2018-2021) and was voted the most by her peers in the “Rising Star” 2021 by The Legal 500's Latin American guide, as “Next Generation Partners”, also in government relations.

The Secretary General is the author of several articles on the Brazilian gaming market and the political and legal scene, as well as on tourism and public policies for the sector.

Barbara will join the area of Legal do Rei do Pitaco and will support the Head in regulatory matters and government relations in Brasília. Team Legal is led by Rafael Marcondes, a lawyer, professor of Sports and Tax Law and with extensive experience in the sector.

About the hiring, Marcondes says he is very excited about the lawyer's arrival on the Rei do Pitaco team. "With his experience in regulatory affairs and performance focused on the gaming industry, he will certainly add a lot to the company."

“Bárbara still has the differential of working for years in front of government relations, a strategic segment for the industry. Certainly a great signing,” he continued.

The lawyer is excited about the new position and stated that “being part of the Rei do Pitaco team is a great joy and the opportunity to give them the experience acquired both in the legal area of games and in the matter of government relations. It's an exciting challenge and I hope it's a very long-lasting partnership,” she said.
