With this implementation, Paraná joins the five Brazilian federative entities that have current legislation on lottery services: Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Espírito Santo and Maranhão.
The creation of the autarchy will allocate, with the new source of revenue, resources for the maintenance of social programs and the development of actions and services related to public security, popular housing and promotion of the rights of the elderly, with resources also reverting to the Recovery and Paraná Fiscal Stabilization – FUNREP.
The Lottery of the State of Paraná (Lotepar) will have a direct link with the State Secretariat of Finance. In addition, it is the responsibility of the new autarchy to adopt security guarantee systems against tampering with physical and digital tickets.
This new structure can directly execute the games or delegate, by permission, concession or other modality provided for in the legislation governing public contracts, the operational activities inherent to the operation of the lottery game.
The autarchy will work from 2022 to define how the games will be implemented in Paraná state.
