"Salsa to present Secap an operator management software that meets its needs as regulator"

Peter Nolte, founder of Salsa Technology, spoke exclusively with the GMB during BiS last week about how the event exceeded his expectations. “It was great to see people we hadn't seen for so long, in addition to the discussion of high-level issues, which is an indication that the industry is taking a more serious role in society.' About the company, he says that 2021 was excellent and that, among other things, 'we have developed a software for managing operators that we will present to Secap, as it meets the needs of a regulatory body.'

GMB – What is your impression on BiS 2021?
Peter Nolte –
Super beyond expectations. The success of the Brazilian iGaming Summit is impressive. It was great to see people we hadn't seen for a long time and a lot of new people, not to mention the fact that the topics discussed were excellent and of a high level. I also saw a lot of new people introducing themselves to the sector. People I don't know and many from abroad. This is an indication that the industry is taking a more serious role within society.

So, BiS arrived at the right time!
Truth. It happened at the right time. Especially as Brazil is in the process of having the regulation of sports betting and having the WG that discusses the Regulatory Framework for Gaming present and informing that it is finalizing the report on what they intend to propose for the sector and place the project that legalizes the sector for voting later this year.

And what about Salsa Technology? How is the comapnay closing this year?
Thank God it's going really well. This year was wonderful and we grew a lot. We are a state-of-the-art technology company that is increasingly recognized as being very up-to-date. We have a sports, bingo and payment platform. We recently developed a partnership for the online lotteries area. In addition, we have developed software for managing operators. Regulatory bodies need to manage operators and we have software for that. Identical to the one in operation in Portugal. There, the regulatory body manages the operators and we have this at the disposal of Brazil, both for the management of the federal and state bodies.

And have you already shown this product to Secap, currently the body that has this responsibility?
We are already at the stage of setting up a meeting to present to them. We inform you that we have this product and in the coming days we will have a presentation of this solution.

What do you expect for the Brazilian market after an event like this and considering that the WG report on the Regulatory Framework for Gaming is close to be finalized?
I have nothing to say other than that I'm rooting for it too much and we'll see the result. This is essential for international market players to contribute to Brazil, as clear rules and legal certainty are the touchstone for large investments in the country, as well as for Brazilian businessmen to assume a prominent role in the gaming scenario.

And how do you evaluate your participation on the panel about game providers?
The panel was very good. We had the opportunity to talk about content, especially as new developments are emerging from the point of view of regulation and legalization. It is essential that all players in the industry understand the directions that game providers are taking to offer the market cutting-edge products for ensure a good experience for players.
