GMB – First of all, I would like you to talk a little about Evolution and the work it has been doing in Latin America.
Erick Mendez – Evolution is the world's #1 provider of live casino offerings, having recently added additional brands such as Ezugi to NetEnt and Red Tiger in order to offer a more complete offering to the world market. In Latin America, we continued the same strengthening process and created a LATAM team in the region with a local presence and country managers in the main countries where the markets are under regulation. With that, we want to offer a closer support and in the same time zone and language, in order to follow what is happening in each one of them.
Talking about the different countries in Latin America, what is your assessment of the Brazilian iGaming Summit and what is your expectation for Evolution in Brazil?
BiS was an excellent event, which attracted many operators and content providers and platforms. There is a lot of potential in Brazil and this first visit really pleased us. We hope it won't be the last, as we are committed to working and generating localized content that local gamers can enjoy.
During your presentation at one of BiS’ panels, much was said about the evolution of the live game, with the arrival of player against player betting. How do you see this whole process?
It's part of what's happening. The player wants more interaction and participation, not just beating the casino, but beating another player and being the best, creating competitions. It is human nature to compete and this is also reflected in our industry.
And are you ready for this new moment?
We're ready and we've already added new features to our system that allow for more interaction and let you know who's winning and how they're winning. Even to place bets against other players or to support other players against the house. The options already exist.
What are Evolution's plans for Brazil?
We are following the steps of regulation and we want to work very closely with regulatory bodies to offer them our knowledge, experience and technology so that they can understand and learn about traceability, how games are processed, etc. In other words, offering all our expertise and showing regulators our licenses. We also want to be very close with local operators.
Where are the Evolution certifications from?
We are certified by the main international laboratories, such as GLI, BMM and iTechLab, according to the requirements of each of the markets where we operate. Obtaining certifications is one of our main tasks in order to guarantee players, operators and platforms that we offer safe content that meets the requirements of each of the markets where we are present.
It's a key to success!
No doubt. It's a key point, as certifications are essential for players to have a safe and fun experience.
