Betmotion has just signed a one-year contract with MMA fighter Mackenzie Dern, one of the top stars in the category and considered one of the best jiu-jitsu fighters in the UFC. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States, Mackenzie has Brazilian nationality and is the daughter of Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter Wellington “Megaton” Dias.
As a child, he grew up between Arizona and Brazil, his father's birthplace. She graduated from high school at Ironwood High School in Glendale, Arizona. As soon as he was 3 years old, Mackenzie started training jiu-jitsu with his father and his stepmother, Luciana Tavares. Currently, she has a record of ten victories and only one defeat in the UFC, currently occupying the 11th position in the strawweight ranking (up to 52kg).
In February 2019 she interrupted her MMA career due to her pregnancy. Moa, her daughter, was born in June of that year. Her last victory in the octagon is quite recent. In December, at UFC 256, in Las Vegas (USA), she defeated the also Brazilian Virna Jandiroba by unanimous decision (triple 29-28).
Mackenzie Dern is married to Brazilian surfer Wesley Santos and speaks fluent English and Portuguese.
The contract provides for the use of the athlete's image on the Betmotion website, in brand promotions, such as, for example, draws of autographed items, as well as the display of the fighter's image on Instagram.
