"I was honored to be awarded in 2019, 2020 and now in 2021. Corporate INTL conducts research with several international companies in the gaming industry and verifies their assessments of professionals in each jurisdiction. This recognition is very significant for me," says Maia in conversation with GMB.
With over 11 years of experience in the gaming sector in Brazil and participation in the main industry events around the world reporting the country's importance to the international market, Maia says that the new award highlights that he has achieved the most important objective and thanks everyone the sector.
“It represents that we are managing to do what is most important: serving and representing our customers well. This recognition is a very rewarding part of the career of any professional and I can only thank everyone in the sector, including GMB, for always opening up this very important space," adds Maia.
The lawyer said he received the news of the award with surprise and that it is a consequence of the success that clients have achieved and not just something personal.
"Actually, we don't work thinking on awards, but about the success of our clients, before our own. The success of the lawyer is a consequence of the client's victories. The recognition comes consequently and, when it comes, the feeling is always of immense gratitude," he concluded.
Luiz Felipe Maia is a founding partner of Franco, Yoshiyasu, Maia, Simões and D'Alessio Advogados and head of the gaming, internet and technology team. He has over 18 years of professional experience involving structuring business in Brazil.
Graduated in Law from USP and Master in Law from UFPE, he is a negotiator and mediator certified by the Harvard Negotiation Program, in addition to a professor of negotiation. He received several international awards in recognition for his role as a gaming and technology lawyer in Brazil and was selected by the international publication Lawyer Monthly among the 100 best lawyers in the country.
He has already lectured at ICE London, at IE - Instituto de Empresa Business School, in Madrid, at Juegos Miami, at IMGL in San Diego and at EiG Totally Gaming in Barcelona.
