GMB - How did the idea to sponsor Fluminense come about and why did you choose the club?
Angelo Alberoni - Betmotion is a brand that has always supported Brazilian sport, and being able to sponsor one of the biggest football clubs in Brazil is a great opportunity to reinforce this DNA. Today we are official sponsors of the NBB, we have Cristiane as Ambassador and we are in the jersey of a traditional Brazilian football team, internationally recognized.
Besides being in front part of the jersey, is there another participation of the Betmotion brand during the club’s games?
Our partnership with Fluminense goes far beyond the jersey. The fans of Fluminense are highly engaged with the club and we will create, in collaboration with the Marketing Department of the ‘Tricolor’, numerous activations, initially digital and, when the pandemic ends, in the team's games in the Maracanã stadium.
What benefits can Flu fans expect from Betmotion with this deal?
At the beginning of the partnership, we launched an exclusive bonus for Flu fans, there was a 300% bonus for up to R$ 25.00 deposit. In addition to this exclusive welcome bonus, we also held a raffle for the new Fluminense jersey on our social networks. This is just the beginning; we will still have a lot of news involving the Club Fan Member Program and activations involving unforgettable experiences for fans.
Could you summarize what sports sponsorships Betmotion currently has in Brazil?
Our brand has a strong track record in supporting national sport. We already had in our team the Olympic medalist Fernando Scherer, the footvolley athlete Natália Guitler and, today, Cristiane from the Brazilian Team and the greatest football in the history of the Olympic Games is our Ambassador. We are also official sponsors of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) and this year we have already sponsored the Brazilian Women's Championship at Bandeirantes and MyCujoo.
Does the brand have an idea of looking for other teams that do not have a bookmaker as a sponsor today?
Brazil is a giant and football is an important gear for brands that have synergy with the sport. We do not rule out stamping our brand in other football clubs, but we need to analyze each new proposal and understand what values the club carries and whether these values are also the same as our brand.
What assessment do you make of the presence of so many bookmakers supporting sport in Brazil and more specifically in football?
The analysis is always positive, but you need to be careful and take some precautions. With the absence of regulation, close by the way, many brands tend to appear and take advantage of the false idea that the iGaming industry has no limits when it comes to investing in sponsorship. It is necessary to make it clear that our sector will not be responsible for settling clubs' financial problems, but rather help in the exposure and exploration of a new entertainment sector that will soon be regulated in the country.
