Gelfi participates in the panel “Gaining momentum: will 2021 be the year of Brazil?”, which will be moderated by Hendrich Júnior, founding partner of Online IPS and Hendrich Advogados. Together with other players, he will discuss the progress already achieved by the industry in Brazil, the prospects for regulation in the country and the impacts of the pandemic.
“Having space to talk about the Latin American market at an event of this size is extremely important. Online gaming is a trend in the region; we obtained a license in the province of Buenos Aires, while Chile and Peru discuss the regulations,” says the executive.
“The latest public updates indicate that here in Brazil, it should be in July this year. We see a favorable context for this regulation to happen in the short and medium term,” Gelfi explains.
Another theme that should be explored by panelists is the future of lotteries in Brazil, in view of the fact that the Supreme Federal Court has ended the Union's monopoly for the exploration of activity in the country.
The panel starts at 5:35 pm. For more information, visit: www.egrpowerlatamsummit.com
