"I discussed this demand, in virtual meetings, with Governor Wellington Dias, on Friday and Saturday, and he included, in the Decree, lottery retailers as an essential service. I argued that, through lotteries, many benefits are paid daily, and the suspension of these activities would have an even greater impact on the income of the poorest people. In addition, on the working day when the places were reopened, there would be agglomeration, which should be avoided at that moment," explains the parliamentarian.
The president of the Union of Lotteries of the State of Piauí, Maria dos Anjos, points out that the contribution of the parliamentarian to the request for the category to be reached was essential.
"I greatly appreciate Franzé's attention to our request, and also the Governor's sensitivity to our appeal. With this, we are avoiding agglomerations and serving a network that assists many vulnerable people. We will continue to maintain all care to protect the population against the pandemic," he points out.
