Popular singer of Argentine rhythm “cuarteto”

“El Potro” is coming to videogames by the hand of Vibra Gaming

The Argentine game and platform developer Vibra Gaming has acquired the rights to produce a slot based on the popular cuarteto singer from Córdoba, Rodrigo Bueno, more commonly known as “El Potro“. The project has just been kicked off and is expected to be a huge success both for fans of this artist and for the gaming public. “We are proud to be the ones in charge of conveying Rodrigo’s world into a slot,” comments Ramiro Atucha, CEO at Vibra Gaming.

When any talented artist gets popular in a very short period of time, he is likely to become an extremely huge idol. And that is what happened with Rodrigo Bueno‘s career: in just a few years, he jumped from being an outstanding artist to an unprecedented cultural phenomenon. A popular and charming singer, Rodrigo “El Potro” Bueno, completely changed the scene of popular music and especially of the cuarteto music from Córdoba, making it successful and famous all over the country.

And the good news is that the Argentine game developer Vibra Gaming has recently acquired the rights to bring this legendary artist to the world of slots, both in land-based and online formats, planning it to be a 100% omnichannel game.

Ramiro Atucha, CEO at Vibra Gaming, states with excitement: “We are proud to be the ones in charge of conveying Rodrigo’s world into a slot. It is a big challenge due to what El Potro represents for Argentina, both for his artistic value and for the commercial importance of his image. We believe that the game must live up to his name and legacy, so we have already started working with our team. We can assure that it will be a high quality product that will make the market talk.”

Vibra Gaming is a new company in the industry, but it is formed by professionals with over 20 years of experience. It is mainly focused on the Latin American market as a game studio and a game platform developer.

Ramiro Atucha says: “We have already started working on this game. Our main goal is to capture the essence and excitement of his shows, and therefore we will pay special attention to the game sound in order to convey all the magic you could feel in his concerts.”

This acquisition is part of one of its main business units introduced in 2020: the production of licensed titles. In fact, they have already launched Popeye Slots and The Phantom, two titles of great quality and performance. And another recently acquired license is Condorito, a very popular cartoon character in the region.

By Q1 2022 we expect to be enjoying the game of Rodrigo, one of Argentina’s greatest popular idols, who will now have his own slot with good reason.

Ramiro Bueno (Rodrigo’s son), referring to this production: “So proud that the image and memory of my dad can be captured in a videogame. Besides, I like casino games and I already knew Vibra Gaming. I am very glad that an Argentine company is in charge of this project. It will be able to show the energy of his concerts and the passion he gave to his music.”

Born in the Capital City of Córdoba (Province of Córdoba, Argentina), Rodrigo began his career at a very young age thanks to his father, who promoted him as an artist in Buenos Aires. Since then, his career was meteoric: first he changed course and went from having a romantic look to becoming a storm of energy strongly focused on his roots, the cuarteto music from Córdoba. He had his hair cut, dyed it in different colors and became a rock star with a cuarteto rhythm.

Rodrigo was extremely popular; his face was on the cover of every magazine; radio stations played his music 24 hours a day; and he mingled with all celebrities. This led him to have a relentless pace of live performances, with no breaks, which required tremendous speed from him and his team in order to meet all business obligations. All this ended in a tragic car accident in which Rodrigo died at the age of 27. And on that fateful June 24, 2000, the myth of “El Potro” was born, and his art was instantly immortalized, making it grow day by day and forever.
