Focused on digitizing the experience of driving a BMW and competing on the tracks through racing simulators, the F1BC BMW Championship features the powerful new BMW M4 GT3 in the iRacing simulator, in addition to offering exclusive awards with Bavarian brand lifestyle items and his partner, Harman Kardon.
The BMW M4 GT3 prototype was presented during the MotoGP Styrian Grand Prix race in 2020. The main component shared by all BMW M4 models is the six-cylinder engine in line with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology and a concept high rotation. From the beginning, this set was developed based on the performance characteristics obtained directly from motorsport.
Drivers who are passionate about high speed and the BMW M line, who register for free at www.f1bc.com/bmw, will compete in an intense selective race, through the iRacing game, between May 24th and 30th on the virtual circuit of Interlagos, being able to record lap times at any time of the day. At the end of this stage, the best 40 (in a sequence of 4 fast laps) will qualify to compete in the official competition, between 18 June and 8 October, in 7 stages with double batteries. It is necessary to have the subscription to the iRacing.com simulator and its respective car and circuits to participate.
A lot of emotion is scheduled for the end of the championship, on October 8, where the draws for the prizes will be held for the pilots. Premium partner present in the sound systems of real cars and now in virtual races, Harman Kardon will award three participants with a bluetooth speaker. In addition, the winners will receive a total of R$ 18,000 (1st place - R$ 8,000; 2nd place - R$ 5,000; and 3rd place - R$ 5,000) to be consumed in BMW lifestyle products, such as clothing, accessories, suitcases, miniatures, among other line items.
“BMW brings excitement and passion through the sportiness and technology present in its products, on and off the track, in the real world and in the digital world. The partnership with F1BC symbolizes the importance of eSports for the brand and an evolution in the current strategy,” points out Jorge Junior, Head of Marketing & CRM at BMW Group Brasil.
“Digitization is not only on our social networks, websites and brand sales channels, but also at all points of contact with current customers and new generations. The public of the virtual championship represents different generations and is always in search of new technologies and constant evolution, and all of this has a direct relationship with BMW, which is at the forefront of innovation and electrification, and in the leadership of premium mobility,” he adds.
“This is a unique moment for F1BC and for Brazilian virtual motorsport, and the arrival of BMW crowns a job that has been done with professionalism and seriousness since 2006 by our organization”, says Rodrigo Wizard Steigmann, General Director of F1 Brasil Clube. “We share this victory with all those who have supported us over the years, and we are convinced that we will have a legion of drivers celebrating with us,” he highlights.
