Also in May, CAIXA announced the maintenance of the bank's historic partnerships with the Brazilian Athletics Confederation (CBAt), the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG) and the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB). The three entities have already taken part in the Olympic Games, with emphasis on three medals in men's artistic gymnastics, 17 Olympic medals in athletics and 301 medals in Brazilian Paralympic sport.
SKATEBOARD
The sponsorship of Brazilian skateboarding athletes seeks to enhance the sport, which is already the second most practiced among young people aged eight to 18 years. The agreement runs until June 2022 and provides for R$6.43 million (US$$ 1.22m) to the Brazilian Skate Confederation (CBskate), with funds from the FDL.
In addition to enabling the participation of high-performance athletes in the Olympics, the sponsorship will also allow the structuring of social projects for 3,200 athletes, 11 federations and three associated associations, in addition to enabling the organization of professional and amateur championships.
ATHLETICS
New cycle: contract signed on 05/20 in the amount of R$16 million (US$ 3.05m) for the period from June 2021 to June 2022, with FDL resources.
In addition to participating in eight sports in this Olympiad, CBAt operates in social projects and continuing education actions in partnerships with schools and social centers, reaching more than a thousand base athletes.
GYMNASTICS
New cycle: contract signed on 03/05 totaling R$30 million (US$ 5.75m) in FDL transfers for four years, from May 2021 to May 2025, in the four modalities (artistic, rhythmic, trampoline and aerobics) and little schools.
Social projects: expansion from 15 to 30 CAIXA Gymnastics Lotteries Excellence Centers in the new cycle, doubling to three thousand the number of children and teenagers served in all regions of the country.
PARALYMPIC SPORT
New cycle: contract signed on 05/26 in the amount of R$24.7 million (us$ 4.7m) from the FDL, from June 2021 to June 2022, for 11 sports: athletics, swimming, weightlifting, shooting, 5-a-side football, judo, goalball, wheelchair basketball, table tennis and sitting volleyball.
Social projects: Social inclusion of 550 children and teenagers with disabilities from the public school system through sports, cultural and educational activities at the CAIXA Paralympic Center, in São Paulo (SP), which also offers training to more than 9,000 athletes. Creation of new Paralympic Reference Centers for basic training in ten cities. Professional training for more than 2,500 APAEs employees. Athlete Citizen Program for educational and professional training with 331 athletes served with scholarships.
CITIZEN CHILDREN PROJECT - MUSIC AND MARTIAL ARTS
CAIXA expands the partnership with the Child Citizen Beneficent Association, from Recife (PE), marked by the sponsorship of the Child Citizen Orchestra since 2009, now also covering the practice of martial arts and the Luthier and Archetier Training School, specialized in the manufacture of instruments. The three projects total R$2.2 million (US$ 420k) from May 2021 to January 2022 and serve 400 children and young people in socially vulnerable situations.
The Nildo Nery dos Santos Sports Complex project has sports activities aimed at teaching karate, taekwondo, and judo, participating in tournaments and teaching, dental and psychological assistance.
DECENTRALIZED ATHLETIC SPONSORSHIPS
For regional athletic projects, more than R$700,000 (US$ 14k) will be invested in social and sports actions focused on young people and children, such as:
- CAIXA Future Olympic Lotteries, by former athlete Arnaldo de Oliveira, who prepares talents in all types of athletics track in Rio de Janeiro (RJ);
– Sobradinho Athletics Center (CASO), a project in the Federal District responsible for training athletes such as Caio Bonfim, fourth in the Rio 2016 Games in the 20 km athletic march and ten-time champion of the Copa Brasil de Marcha Atlética.
DECENTRALIZED PARALYMPIC SPONSORSHIPS
In projects aimed at Paralympic sport, more than R$ 1.68 million (US$ 321k) will be invested in actions focused on social inclusion through sports, such as:
– Florianopolitana Association for the Physically Handicapped (AFLODEF), an entity with a public of 100 young people and adults, organizes the CAIXA AFLODEF Street Race Lottery Circuit and wheelchair basketball championship;
– Adapted Swimming: Freedom Through Water, a project providing access to sport for around 100 people with disabilities in a situation of social vulnerability in São Paulo (SP).
– Cutting Citizens and Tennis Players: Looking to the Future, a project for tennis practice, physical preparation and psychological care for about 660 children and teenagers in Vacaria (RS).
– Marinha Caixa Paralympic Project, with 100 parathletes, youth and adults, from the Almirante Adalberto Nunes Physical Education Center (Cefan), in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), who receive scholarships and all the preparation and support for national and international competitions.
CAIXA LOTTERIES
CAIXA Lotteries games are sold in more than 13 thousand lottery units throughout Brazil, in addition to electronic channels:

• CAIXA Internet Banking, for account holders, exclusively in the Mega-Sena modality.
