Players will have to verify themselves and then download the desktop client to gain access to the global PokerStars player pool.
The accounts and deposits of the site will be handled by Casino777.ch. The App Store application is anticipated to be approved soon after the launch takes place.
Robert Kocher, the Chief Gaming Officer of Casino777.ch, reportedly told the media that once players went live they could take part in all the international PokerStars tournaments across the globe.
It came as a surprise though that after a two-year long wait, Swiss Casinos became the first online poker room in Switzerland to get its license last month.
According to a report by Poker Industry PRO, Swiss Casinos Holding AG, the Swiss gaming giant operates four casinos among a total of 21 licensed casinos in the country. This marked the company’s first incursion into online poker.
News reports stated that there was a dead end for operators in the country for a duration of 18 months when they all withdrew from the market pending local regulations. And now while all the casinos are re-opening online, Swiss Casinos are the very first online poker room to open and have their regulations in place.
