The initiative brings together companies of all sizes and economic sectors, interested in vaccinating their workers completely free of charge. In total 1,250,000 employees will be vaccinated by the private sector, who are located in all areas of the country, including Valle del Cauca, Santander, Eje Cafetero, Llanos, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, the Caribbean region, Huila, Cauca, Nariño, Chocó, San Andrés and Providencia, Amazonas and many more, becoming the most important mobilization of private resources in Colombia's history.
The main objective of the business sector to articulate under this vaccination program is to contribute in solidarity to the protection of workers and their families to ultimately strengthen the National Vaccination Plan and contribute to public health in Colombia.
"This is the most important action of solidarity on the part of companies at a time when the country needs it most. Self-care and vaccination are, undoubtedly, the main tools to boost Colombia's mood, health and productivity reactivation," said ANDI's president, Bruce Mac Máster.
After making an internal call to the gaming companies interested in participating in the acquisition of the biologicals and knowing clearly the number of beneficiaries and their location in the country, Fecoljuegos as facilitator has been advancing the management process, with which it will be able to enter the group of beneficiary companies for the lot of 2.5 million vaccines. They were acquired by agreement directly with the National Government, of which 5.000 vaccines, including the two doses, corresponded to the Federation.
The vaccine that the collaborators will receive as from the first week of July is SINOVAC's CORONOVAC, which has the proper Authorization for Emergency Use (ASUE). Fecoljuegos in coordination with the areas of human talent and work team of the member companies are ready to begin the immunization process. The complete cycle is expected to be completed by the end of August, taking into account that for the application of the second dose it will be necessary to wait 30 days.
"The gaming industry manifested its interest in acquiring the vaccines since the Ministry of Health and Social Protection published the resolution that allowed the purchase of the biologicals by the private sector. We are a socially responsible sector and as generators of resources for the health sector, we feel a commitment with the Colombians to contribute in the immunization of the population and in the economic reactivation of the country,” assured the president of Fecoljuegos, Evert Montero Cardenas.
"Our businessmen are aware that the only way to generate value is to be part of the solution and contribute in whatever way they can to the needs of the nation," added the Fecoljuegos executive.
