Betfair wins Máquina do Esporte Award in Brazil at Sponsorship Activation category

Betfair was the big winner of the Máquina do Esporte Awards in the category Sponsorship Activation. Sponsor of Conmebol Libertadores, Betfair used Minute Media vehicles to activate the semifinals and finals of the competition, which involved Argentinean and Brazilian teams. 'We have a very nice partnership with Conmebol and this was one of the projects that helped to amplify that relationship,' celebrated Maria Flavia Losse, senior international sponsorship executive at Betfair.

The brand aimed to be more recognized by the Brazilian and South American public, in addition to marking its direct association with the Libertadores championship.

To get closer to the fan, Minute Media proposed the creation of an exclusive content series, called ‘Obsessão’ (Obsession), consisting of three episodes made within the editorial essence of The Players' Tribune, with a strong brand identity and centered on the last three editions of Conmebol Libertadores at their highest points: the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Finals.

 



“We are very happy with this award and with the result of this project. We have a very nice partnership with Conmebol and this was one of the projects that helped to amplify this relationship,” celebrated Maria Flavia Losse, senior international sponsorship executive at Betfair.

The series recalled the two finals of 2018, between Argentine arch-rivals Boca Juniors and River Plate, who were also semi-finalists in 2020. The script tried to reinforce Betfair's slogan "Every result is possible".

Then, an episode was made about Flamengo's victory over River Plate in 2019, with reports from Zico, Adriano, Júlio César and Nunes, idols of Rio de Janeiro’s team.

One of the biggest challenges we had when we brought The Players Tribune to Brazil was to repeat the same success that this platform has worldwide. We found BetFair the ideal partner,” said Bruno Fernandes, AdSales director at 90min & TPT.
