Seastorm takes over 38% of B4, bets on repositioning the eSports organization

Seastorm Ventures, a startup studio led by Marcela Miranda and Guilherme Muller, founders of Trigg, has just taken over 38% of B4, one of the main eSports organizations in Brazil, a national reference in the game Free Fire. The idea is to reposition the B4 brand, without losing its essence in competitions and audience. The organization had 475% growth in sales in 2020, compared to 2019 and the expectation is to grow another 500% this year, with the new operation.

“We believe that the eSports market is still consolidating in Brazil. Many business models are structuring themselves and trying to prove themselves winners. B4 is already a consolidated team with structured teams, qualified professionals, and that has already proven its MVP. What we want now is to challenge them. There are many ideas and projects, and we are very excited about the changes that will take place over the next few months,” emphasizes Marcela Miranda.

New partners

Two new partners join the team: Victor Romariz, a professional focused on branding, communication, content, and planning, former Strategic and Creative Planning Manager at Omelete. And Eduardo Abrão Junior, former Head of Business and Partnerships at Omelete, who is now responsible for the same area at B4. Antonio Pedro Cardoso, founding partner, continues to lead the company, with the new projects in addition to paying attention to the teams and the professionalism of the players, which is the purpose of B4.

The arrival of the partners brings a super news: the creation of the Wild Rift team – a new LOL game for mobile phones, which will have its first official championship at the end of 2021. In addition to FreeFire and Wild Rift, launched now, the organization still has other teams on PubG Mobile, FreeFire emulator and Valorant.

Seastorm Ventures' investment in B4 is focused on the development and attention to some pillars: a) Competition and teams; b) Technology Lab, which is the essence of Seastorm, and the possible creation of a gametech; c) Audience and entertainment beyond games; d) Social, with the expansion of Bastardinhos, a competition that works as a sieve for the discovery of potential athletes and now influencers.

“It's been amazing to look at the B4 that we want to create: the arrival of Edu and Victor, the possibility of having this business vision, discussing new projects outside of what we were doing on a daily basis, but without losing focus on our essence, which is to compete! And Seastorm's new round comes to consolidate an expansion of B4 beyond games: music, education and technology,” celebrates Antonio Pedro Cardoso.
