Brazilian idol invests in Good Crazy since 2020

Dani Alves wants to "leave a legacy" with eSports team

A multi-champion in football, Daniel Alves leads Good Crazy, an eSports team in partnership with a Spanish organization, since March 2020. The ace currently in São Paulo spoke in an interview with Betway about this investment in electronic sports and the reasons that led him to to look fondly at this virtual world. According to the Brazilian idol, the idea is not only to invest in eSports thinking about profit, but also to leave a legacy for this new modality.

"I have friends in Barcelona who already have a team, and when we were there, we started working on this idea. One of the things I said is that I could create the team with my name, as they have the knowledge, but it would have to be a different team, with my concepts, my ideas. A team that defended my values. Because more than being a professional, you have to be a great human being,” he says.

This year, Good Crazy represented Sevilla, one of the clubs in which Daniel Alves spent his long career, in the virtual La Liga of FIFA 21.

According to the player called up for Brazil’s national team for the Olympic Games, the idea is not only to invest in eSports with a view to profit, but also to leave a legacy for this new modality.

“I usually say that in life you have to offer it and then reap. By doing things intelligently, creating something different, you will be able to achieve your goals and leave your legacy,” explains Dani Alves.

In addition to Dani Alves, many active and retired players have also invested in eSports. Only in Brazil there are several examples: Casemiro (Case Esports), Paquetá (Paquetá Gaming), Kaique Rocha and João Pedro (Team Vikings), Ronaldinho Gaúcho (R10 Esports) and Douglas Costa (DC Team).

Abroad, there are Gareth Bale with Ellevens Esports, Ruud Gullit with Team Gullit, Sergio Agüero with KRÜ and Mesut Özil with M10 Esports.
