For the first two weeks, “nak” will be analyzing Gamers Club's leagues and lobbies in order to find new talent on the scene. The sieve will be broadcast on their Twitch channel, where the coach will review and comment on potential Academy cast members. With this, only twenty candidates will receive the Gamers Club medal, thus qualifying them for training.
“Feitos no Brasil” by Betway officially commenced on July 7th and is exclusive to players 13 and over. The search will end on August 8th with one player gaining a spot on MIBR’s academy roster. According to the release, the project aims to “uncover new academy players” through Gamers Club, IGC’s Brazilian gaming platform.
Adam Savinson, on behalf of esports at Betway, commented: “‘Brazil has such an incredible pool of CS:GO talent and we’re really proud to support the search for the next big star with ‘Feitos no Brasil’ by Betway.”
Then, over the last two weeks of the project, coaches will split the candidates into four teams in order to practice and compete in the championship Made in Brazil by Betway.
At the tournament, “nak” and “rikz” will analyze players' individual skills, availability, role, and platform scores. However, it is noteworthy that the champion player or tournament MVP will not necessarily be selected for the academy team.
Matches from “Feitos no Brasil” by Betway tournament will be broadcast on “nak’s” channel on Twitch. Registration for the project is now open and can be made on the organization's official website.
“We hope to find someone to compete at the grassroots level, but who also live up to the MIBR tag values. I'm extremely excited to share the responsibility for this project with ‘rikz’, a coach I've worked with previously and a great friend,” said “nak” about the project.
As for the Director of MIBR, Yuri “Fly” Uchiyama, he sid that “Feitos no Brasil is a literal translation of 'Made in Brazil' into Portuguese, which also translates into an incentive to awaken local players to the dream they pursue such a long time."
In 2018 Betway was announced as a founding partner of MIBR. Since then the bookmaker has secured a range of agreements with eSports organisations, such as G2 Esports, FURIA, and PSG Esports, among others.
