48 amateur clubs benefited from a set of main and alternative equipment, developed in a sustainable way, as well as a sports development grant, within the scope of the “Sente a Camisola” project.
The project was financed by the bookmaker Betclic, which received more than 800 applications through the website www.senteacamisola.pt. After ‘Futebol Bonito 2000’ which supported 20 amateur football clubs, Betclic launches another initiative to help male and female teams four different sports (football, handball, basketball and futsal).
Former internationals Nuno Gomes, Sofia Ramalho, Hugo Rocha and Arnaldo Pereira are the ambassadors of the ‘Sente a Camisola’ project. The former Benfica, Boavista and Fiorentina player welcomed this initiative.
“The difficulties that I know of amateur football make me believe, even more, in a project as healthy as sustainable as ‘Sente a Camisola’. We need to believe more in the bases of football and these clubs represent them,” said Nuno Gomes.
The delivery of equipment to the winners should take place in the coming months.
