paiN Gaming and Rensga faced each other on Saturday afternoon (21) for a place in the grand final. In the other semifinal, scheduled for Sunday (22), it was Vorax and Red Canids' turn to measure forces. In addition to getting the title, the champion will represent Brazil in the League of Legends World Cup, in China.
As in 2020, the decision will not have the presence of the public, and will be broadcast on Sportv channels (pay TV), as well as on the internet, on CBLOL's Youtube and Twitch channels.
The teams and others involved will undergo a prevention protocol against COVID-19, including room sanitation, temperature measurement, mandatory use of masks with change every three hours, distance, isolation of cabins and testing.
“We are very happy to return to Rio de Janeiro. We were in the city for the last time with a CBLOL final in 2019, with tickets sold out at the Jeunesse Arena, and we have evolved a lot in the championship since then. The pandemic forced us to rethink our entire strategy, without ever forgetting to offer the best championship, best technology and best experience for players and fans,” says Carlos Antunes, head of eSports at Riot Games in Brazil.
“And the franchising system that we implemented this year provided greater security for pro players to focus on competition, offering greater stability for the teams. The grand final will be a show of its own,” concluded Antunes.
