The AUF announced the signing of an important agreement with Sportradar that consists of the implementation of a monitoring system to detect match-fixing.
Sportradar is a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content for its clients around the world providing cutting-edge solutions and services to media companies, bookmakers, sports federations and state authorities.
Sportradar's monitoring system is already operational in the AUF First Professional Division and Second Professional Division Championships in an agreement that the company signed with FIFA and CONMEBOL in 2017.
This new deal seeks to expand the protected tournaments, doing it for the Third Division and Sub-19; categories that are important for the generation of future talents in Uruguay.
The risk of competitions with less public exposure has increased globally and in the region. Likewise, the effects of the pandemic have hit hard worldwide, fostering the appearance of this problem. In this sense, Sportradar will collaborate with AUF with the aim of combating the manipulation of matches, by providing its fraud detection tool.
