Playtech announces changes on its Board and new appointments

Gambling software development giant Playtech has announced a number of changes to its boardroom, including new non-executive director and senior independent director appointments and committee changes. The company has appointed Linda Marston-Weston to its Board as a Non-Executive Director in replacement of Claire Milne, taking effect on 1 October 2021.

Marston-Weston has over 30 years experience in working with UK and global businesses from finance, strategy, tax, culture and leadership perspectives. She was also head of tax at EY Midlands, where she also held the role of people partner and led the company’s people strategy.

Marston-Weston will replace Claire Milne, who is set to step down on September 30th. Milne was previously the interim chairman of Paytech before Brian Mattingly stepped into the role on a permanent basis.

I am delighted to welcome Linda to the Board. In addition to her significant work in the areas of people, diversity and inclusion, Linda will bring a huge amount of experience, strategic insight, and technical expertise to Playtech having spent more than three decades advising businesses at board level,” said Mattingley, non-executive chairman.

Marston-Weston will begin her new role on October 1st.

Ian Penrose will step into the role of senior independent director replacing John Jackson from September 30th. He will step down from the nomination committee to take on his new role.

On behalf of the Board, I’d like to express our thanks and appreciation to John and Claire for their contribution to Playtech’s development over the last five years which has been central in laying the foundations for the next phase ahead,” continued Mattingly.

In addition, John Krumins will become a member of, and the chair of, Playtech’s audit committee. He will also join the nominations committee along with Anna Massion.

Massion will chair the risk committee, which Marston-Weston will also join.
