"Soon, as an example, for the year 2021, the clubs that participated in the national championship in the 2019/2020 biennium will be selected to integrate Timemania, in its next competitions," explained the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, in a statement, when justifying the change of teams present in the lottery modality.
The current model, according to SGPR, is “completely outdated”, as it only considers the teams participating in Serie A and B of the 2007 Brazilian Championship.
“Thus, the change brings a flexible and dynamic model for defining the participants of Timemania,” the folder continues.
In Timemania, the person chooses 10 numbers among the 80 available and a Heart Team. Seven numbers and one Heart Team are drawn per contest. Winning bettors are those who have three to seven hits, or those who hit the Heart Team.
