Poker is back on the tables in Brazil. From November 24th to December 5th, the BSOP Millions will take place in São Paulo and, as in 2019, the grandiose stage will have a guarantee of R$15 million (US$2.8m). In total, 51 tournaments from ten different disciplines will be played.
The biggest tournament in the country, the Main Event will give away at least R$7 million (US$1.3m) in prizes. In the 2019 season, Madson Moura beat a field of 3,315 entries to earn R$ 1,244,790 (US$233,000), the biggest cash prize in BSOP history.
The Millions will be an exclusive tournament for players who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Upon arrival at the Sheraton WTC, they will need to show proof of complete vaccinations. The organization will then deliver an identification bracelet that will have to be kept until the end of the event.
The required proofs will be:
• Original COVID-19 vaccination card, dated and stamped (copies of any kind will not be accepted), with QR code.
• São Paulo City eHealth Application.
• ConnectSUS app.
The team that will work at the BSOP will also be fully vaccinated. Like the players, they will need to wear face masks everywhere and at all times.
