Betway Brasil adds João Paulo Haddad Marques as new Head of Marketing

Betway Brasil, a leading global provider of first-class sports betting casino entertainment, has just announced the arrival of João Paulo Haddad Marques to its marketing team. He joins the firm with over 20 years of experience in corporate marketing for large companies such as SKY Brasil, Fiat Chrysler and Claro Brasil. Betway continues to strengthen its presence in Brazil, where it is the sponsor of many eSports teams, among other initiatives.

Now, at Betway Brasil, Haddad Marques assumes the position of Head of Marketing at the company, which has achieved leadership in the online gaming industry providing the most real experiences of interactive and innovative games within a fair, safe and responsible environment, through development and use of the most modern technologies.

Founded in 2006, BWG, the company with the largest number of licenses in the world, trains teams at its various headquarters, with a presence in Malta, Guernsey, Spain and London, all in constant expansion and evolution. The company has more than 1,300 dedicated third-party support staff and employs 600 people worldwide.

The impetus in this field came at the end of 2018 with the enactment of law 13,756/18, which authorizes sports betting games in Brazil. In 2020, the global betting market was valued at US$59.6 billion, with the legalization of the practice slowly growing and is currently allowed in more than twenty states in the US. For 2027, the value of this market is expected to reach US$127.3 billion.

In April 2021, Super Group (SG), the holding that operates Betway, went public on the New York Stock Exchange. At the time, the SG was close to signing an agreement with a valuation of around US$5.1 billion. The deal involves the merger with Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp and aims to expand Betway's business in the United States.

In Brazil, according to a survey carried out by H2 Gambling Capital, revenue in this gambling market is close to 2 billion euros, occupying 21st place in the ranking of nations that most invest and circulate money in this field, behind Singapore, Philippines , Netherlands, Greece, Finland and Malaysia, for example.
