Sports betting firm based in Cabo Frio delays payments, generates complaints

Investors at a sports betting company, which is headquartered in Cabo Frio, in the Laogs Region, and in Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte, are angry with the delay in payments. According to Alphabets customers, the operator has not 'honored what was promised.' Portal O Dia report spoke with the victims who denounced a series of irregularities with abnormal, slow and ridiculous yields and a 5% tax on the withdrawn amount not announced by the betting site.

Alphabets, which identifies itself as “a young technology company developed from the expertise of its creators with the sports betting market”, promises to pay 300% returns within 11 months.

A resident of Cabo Frio, one of the company's clients that preferred not to be identified, told Portal O Dia that earnings are not normal. “The system hasn't updated, yields are abnormal, and every time they give a different excuse,” he says.

The company offers “license plans” for supposed software capable of paying profits of 1.2% to 3.2% per day in up to 11 months. The packages cost R$500 and R$100 thousand.

Another Alphabets client, who lives in São Pedro da Aldeia, invested R$1,000 in 'sports betting' and has already resigned in that he “lost everything. It was my first month, they changed the platform and yields are slow and ridiculous. I never received anything,” she laments.

Alphabets advisors said that withdrawals are fortnightly and always take place on the 1st and 16th of each month, "but the deadline to pay is seven days."

In addition to the payment issue, those who are still managing to make money on the platform are facing another dilemma. Now the company charges a 5% fee on the amount withdrawn, contradicting what was announced on the website, which promises "deposits and receipts in real (local currency) into a bank account, without withdrawal fees."

Also according to one of the injured investors, the company works with a “pyramid scheme. They have a bonus program for referrals or sale of licenses, and also a career plan, which depends on the number of referrals and the amount collected. The more people we call into the business, the more money we earn.”
