The PocketFives site is an authority when it comes to online poker. Each player's result is awarded points in a ranking and Garagnani ended this race in 2021 in the lead. Owner of the “pvigar” online account, the Brazilian scored 24,867 points, surpassing Finnish legend Sami Kelouro, in second place with 24,524. The third place went to Italian Enrico Camosci, with 23,961.
“Unbelievable news. I've never felt happier in poker. I confess I didn't know I was at the top of the online poker player race, but here we are. It's crazy, really, I'm speechless," Garagnani wrote in English on social media. It is worth noting that this ranking is different from the general one made by the same site, in which the Brazilian is in second, behind the British Patrick Leonard.
2021 was an incredible year for Garagnani. He has won titles in the top online series, with glories in the WCOOP, Turbo Series, WPTDeepstacks and WSOP High Rollers, for example. In March, he won what had been his biggest prize, US$ 197,646, but in April he broke his own mark with a runner-up in the Super Millions and a prize of US$ 454,196.
According to PocketFives, Garagnani has already surpassed the mark of US$ 8.4 million in earnings. Last year, Brazil did well with Brunno Botteon, who was in second position. This season it is also worth mentioning the presence of another Brazilian in the list of the top ten of 2021 in online poker. Dalton Hobold “daltonnhb” was eighth with 22,791 points.
