“It is with great regret that the BSOP organization was forced to announce the suspension of the stage so as not to jeopardize, mainly, the safety and well-being of the participants, team and players,” says the official statement of the BSOP that also guaranteed that the São Paulo stage, scheduled for March 24th to 29th, remains confirmed.
For poker players from Brasilia the information was received with great sadness. However, those responsible for the BSOP stated that the possibility of a new stage in the Federal District is not ruled out as soon as the situation normalizes and the sanctions imposed by the rulers are discarded.
The organization is already planning a new date for the event, confident that this public health situation should normalize. “As soon as the rules in the Federal District allow the BSOP to be held again, we will announce the stage and all the tournaments that will be played,” they add.
Players who have already qualified through online satellites at PokerStars will receive an email from the site and will be able to choose to: transfer these seats or packages to the São Paulo stage, which is confirmed to take place on the 24th to 29th March OR get the seat or package refunded to their player accounts, as credits to play new tournaments.
BSOP competitors who purchased their accommodation in Brasília or air tickets to the BSOP through the official travel agency, FlushTour, can contact directly by phone or WhatsApp 11-97428-6992. For any other queries, the official BSOP email is [email protected].
