FPF chooses Stats Perform as official data partner of Paulistão

The Paulista Football Federation (FPF) now has an official data partner for the Paulistão championship and other competitions organized by the entity. Stats Perform, the leading sportstech in data and artificial intelligence technology, will have exclusive distribution of Federation’s competition data to bookmakers worldwide. The deal was handled by LiveMode, FPF's partner for all broadcast and commercial rights, and brokered by Zeus Sports Marketing (ZSM).

Both Stats Perform and ZSM, an international media agency based in London and Singapore, already have a deep involvement in Brazilian football as official betting partners and CBF data rights for series A and B.

“It is with great pleasure that we close this incredible partnership in an area that is still very little explored in Brazil. The Paulista Federation continues to work hard to bring more and more innovation to its competitions,” said Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos, president of the São Paulo Football Federation.

The agreement, a pioneer in Brazil, lasts for four years and follows a trend already developed in Europe and the United States by the main leagues in the world, such as the NFL, NBA and Premier League. The Federation and LiveMode studied the best practices of these leagues and, together with Stats Perform, will implement the same measures in FPF competitions as controlling access to the stadium only for the partner's scouts.

“Like the world's top leagues, we believe that game data is an intellectual property of clubs and championships. This agreement will allow the exploitation of the full potential that this data has,” said Mauricio Portela, partner at LiveMode, a partner company of the São Paulo Football Federation.

“This partnership is testament to our company's exceptional portfolio of football rights. Stats Perform is extremely proud to have such an incredible championship as Paulistão joining its long-term relationship with CBF/Brasileirão,” said Alex Rice, Stats Perform's rights leader.

Having been part of the intermediation of the agreement, Josh Burack, co-founder and Director of ZSM, added: “ZSM has developed an excellent relationship in the area of data and betting and this new acquisition of rights in Brazil further strengthens our menu. We are delighted to have further strengthened our agency's growing presence in such an important segment of the market, adding value to FPF, our partner company LiveMode and our long-time customer Stats Perform."

The partnership begins to take effect from the first match of Paulistão Sicredi 2022, when the terms of the deal will already be in place and Stat Perform will also exclusively distribute the international broadcasting rights of the competition to betting sites.
