Ramiro Atucha, CEO of Vibra Gaming, one of the most important game developers in Latin America, based in Argentina, was present at the Global Gaming Expo to follow the news of the global gaming market and was surprised by the growth in the presence of companies from the online market at the event.
In an exclusive conversation with GMB, he confessed his joy at returning to G2E in the post-pandemic period and that he is very happy to see that “there are many new products, terminals for land-based and I see that the online sector is growing a lot, and America Latina is present at the event.”
GMB – What is your assessment of the Global Gaming Expo and what are the news that you have seen that interest the market and what can Vibra Gaming offer to the sector?
Ramiro Atucha – For me it is very important to be here. I couldn't come last year due to the pandemic, but I've been visiting the expo since 2009 and coming back now is very encouraging. The fair is very big and it is clear that many people wanted to return to G2E. There are many new products, terminals for land-based, and I see that the online sector is growing a lot in Latin America and it is a vertical that is present at the event.
What is said is that online is an additional attraction at the event, which was previously much more land-based!
Sadly, the industry needed Covid to realize that it needed to make progress with omni-channel. Now they're working hard in this direction and it's great to see that people can play in a physical room, but also at home, from their cell phone. This is industry progress.
And how is Vibra Gaming in terms of business?
Vibra Gaming is fine. We're growing a lot and getting a lot of recognition for our games, a lot of integrations and now we're starting to work with platforms. All this is an important growth for us, as we are also expanding our team of professionals and developing more games, always listening to the demands of each market to understand the type of content they need.
What are the main markets for Vibra besides Latin America? Are you already entering the European and US markets?
We are close to finalizing everything to obtain the license for Malta, which will increase our distribution. We are working very hard in Argentina and Brazil, as well as other unregulated regions in Latin America. Some important operators have already integrated our games, such as Betcris and Pronet, which work with a very important general distribution.
Is Vibra Gaming positioning itself more and more strongly in these markets?
Yes. We are growing and working a lot, traveling a lot and visiting many fairs. But it is something worthwhile.
And waiting for the regulation of the Brazilian market!
Sure. We are waiting for regulation. I think it has to happen. The same thing has always been said for ten years that it is about to happen. I hope it happens soon.
