Deputy questions decree that reduces future Sergipe state lottery profit

State deputy Georgeo Passos (Cidadania) questioned in the Plenary of the Legislative Assembly a decree by Governor Belivaldo Chaves (PSD), which drops from 10% to 5% the minimum percentage of the proceeds from the collection of the modalities to be created with the implementation of the Public Lottery of the State of Sergipe.

State deputy Georgeo Passos questioned in a speech at the Plenary of the Legislative Assembly a decree by the outgoing governor Belivaldo Chaves (PSD), which reduces the minimum percentage of profitability on public service collection from 10% to 5%. of Lottery of the State of Sergipe.

The service was created in 2021 and the state law was regulated at the end of September 2022 through Decree 159. The legal document provided that the guarantee of revenue to the state on the commercialization of lottery modalities would be in a percentage not less than 10% incident on the proceeds of the collection.

“However, overnight, the Head of the State Executive Power publishes another Decree and that is where my doubt comes from, since it reduces the minimum percentage of the State's collection power from 10 to 5%, with this it increases the margin profit of the person who is exploring the service from 90 to 95% without motivation and without explanation,” said deputy Georgeo Passos.
