Victor Arias, Vice President of LatAm Operations at Pragmatic Play, spoke exclusively with GMB during the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas last week, when he reaffirmed his commitment to Latin America and his satisfaction with the company's performance in 2022.
GMB – What assessment do you make of the fact that the Global Gaming Expo is also covering the online segment?
Victor Arias – You can definitely see the influence of the online industry at this fair, which, in the past, was characterized by being focused on land-based. We were surprised and the expectation was fully met. In addition, we are happy to see the importance that the event brings to the online segment.
Did Pragmatic Play have good contacts during the event for new business?
Yes. We had the opportunity to meet with partners from Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Chile and the expectation was fulfilled. We also established relationships and first contacts with new business partners from different markets in Latin America.
We came with a great team from Pragmatic Play, not only from Latin America but also from other jurisdictions, especially Europe, as many European operators were also at the event. So, the result was very productive.
What are the upcoming events for Pragmatic Play?
The SBC is arriving in Miami for the Latin market. And we are already studying plans for 2023, which will have many events in Latin America. We will have a very important presence in Brazil and I can say that we are very excited about the excellent results achieved this year, which exceeded our goals. Thus, we are planning what will be our presence in all events in the region next year.
Our commitment since the beginning of this project has been to invest in Latin America and next year we will double the investment, as the acceptance of our product has been spectacular and part of the commitment is this: to return the same acceptance and commitment to the market. Our expectations are high for 2023.
