The chassis in question was the V8-engineD RB7, used by Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber in the 2011 F1 season. On Saturday (5), it was held a launch party for the GP, attended by Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Sergio Pérez and Alex Albon.
"The Las Vegas GP will become a regular commitment in the city and the global sporting calendar. So it's important to celebrate the local fans and have them living ot with us from the beginning. This launch is a small but encouraging taste of what's to come next year when all F1 teams take over The Strip," said Stefano Domenicali, F1's CEO.
The race will be held on a street circuit on the outskirts of the Las Vegas Strip, the iconic avenue where the city's most famous casinos and hotels are located. The stage will take place at night. The future circuit will be 6.12 km long, 17 curves and two chicanes, plus three straights - the largest of them between curves 10 and 11. The race will have 50 laps.
For time reasons, as Las Vegas is located on the west coast of the United States, the start will take place at 10:00 p.m. local time on Saturday. In Brazil, the race starts at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Formula 1 returns to the track next November 13, with the São Paulo GP, direct from Interlagos. There are two stages left in the 2022 season, with Max Verstappen and RBR already guaranteed as champions.
